Spend the day exploring downtown and getting a head start on your holiday shopping. Our local boutiques will be filled with festive finds, gifts, and seasonal treats to kick off the holidays in style. Then end the day with a fun Scavenger Hunt at 6pm at EmilyAnn Theater.

Saturday, November 29 - Wishes for Wimberley Parade & Tree Lighting

Enjoy a leisurely day in town with brunch, shopping, or a stroll along the Square before the festivities begin. That evening, stake out your spot downtown for shopping, dinner, or drinks, then watch the Wishes for Wimberley Lighted Parade roll through at 6 PM, followed by the merriest tree lighting in Texas and visits with Santa himself!

Throughout the day, Holiday Courtyard will be alive with music from Jesse Stratton and other local artists, plus "snow" for the kids and plenty of holiday cheer for the whole family.

It’s the perfect way to spend Thanksgiving weekend — relaxing, shopping local, and soaking in the magic of the season in Wimberley!

5pm - EmilyAnn Trail of Lights Season Kick-Off

🎄 The season starts here!

The EmilyAnn Trail of Lights Tree Lighting begins at 5:00 PM—come early and watch the glow-up that launches the holidays in Wimberley.

6pm - Wishes for Wimberley Lighted Parade

Line the parade route and cheer as glowing floats, classic cars, and festive music fill the streets!

The Wishes for Wimberley Lighted Parade begins at 6:00 PM at Lions Field and winds its way through downtown Wimberley, ending at Waters Point.

Bring a chair, grab a bite downtown, and make an evening of it!

Please note: Streets will close at approximately 5:30 PM and will reopen to traffic as soon as the parade concludes.

Parade route streets will close to vehicle traffic around 5:30 PM and will reopen immediately after the parade ends. Please plan ahead for parking and allow extra time to get downtown.

🎅 Viewing Tips:
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and holiday cheer! Find your favorite spot along the route, grab a bite or drink from a local restaurant, and enjoy one of Wimberley’s most beloved traditions. Wear your holiday best — festive outfits, Santa hats, or cozy pajamas are all encouraged!

✨ When the parade wraps up, head to Holiday Courtyard (in front of Wimberley Café) for the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Toy Drive + Santa visit — the perfect finale to a magical evening!

7pm - Downtown Tree Lighting at Holiday Courtyard

Immediately following the Wishes for Wimberley Parade, gather at Holiday Courtyard for one of Wimberley’s most magical moments—the annual Tree Lighting and Toy Drive!

Join KVUE's Hannah Rucker as she and Wimberley's own Santa Claus lead the countdown and flip the switch to illuminate the towering downtown tree, officially kicking off the holiday season!

7:30pm - Toy Drive & Santa Visits at Holiday Courtyard

Immediately following the Tree Lighting, Santa will be seated and ready to greet children. Bring a new, unwrapped toy or other gift for your visit with Santa—your generosity allows local parents to provide a joyful Christmas for their children while shopping with dignity at the store.

Donations may also be dropped off prior to the parade at collection boxes around town.
